Degree Management Center of the Ministry of Education Held Themed Work Arrangement Meeting at Wuhan University

On May 9th, the Research Arrangement Meeting for the Project Intelligent Agent for Degree Thesis Evaluation was convened at Wuhan University. VIPs attended the meeting were as the followings:

Yanwei Qi, Deputy Director of the Degree Management Center of the Ministry of Education;

Wei Lu, CPC Standing Member and Vice President of Wuhan University;

Jing Hu, Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Director of the Quality and Degree Office, Wuhan University;

Xiaoguang Wang, Dean of the SIM, Wuhan University;

members of the Institute for Intelligent and Innovative Governance including Yong Huang, Fengchang Yu, Shengzhi Huang, and Jiawei Liu; and Pengcheng Li, Lecturer at the Hubei University of Technology. The meeting was chaired by Jing Hu.

Wei Lu, on behalf of Wuhan University, extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the Degree Management Center of the Ministry of Education. He stated that the university attaches great importance to and vigorously promotes the digital and intelligent empowerment of postgraduate education evaluation reform, designating the research on the Intelligent Agent for Degree Thesis Evaluation as a key task. The university has coordinated and supported the project in team formation, resource allocation, task promotion, and other aspects. Since the project's launch, under the strong guidance of the Degree Management Center of the Ministry of Education, it has achieved phased results and breakthroughs. He hoped that in-depth discussions and exchanges at this meeting would better assist future work optimization. Wuhan University will also actively respond to national calls, use the intelligent agent research project as a driving force, continue to deepen evaluation reform, and contribute to building a strong education nation.

Xiaoguang Wang, representing the School of Information Management of Wuhan University, elaborated on the school's resource investment and support measures for the project, emphasizing that the school will continue to empower the project to ensure its progress and successful completion.

Yong Huang, on behalf of the Wuhan University project team, reported on the research progress of the Intelligent Agent for Degree Thesis Evaluation, deeply explaining the overall technical route and principles of the main modules, demonstrating a multi-agent prototype system, and proposing follow-up optimization plans.

During the meeting, both sides discussed key issues such as technical optimization challenges of the project, details of the intelligent agent framework, and diverse data requirements. Fengchang Yu addressed the module for format analysis and formal specification review of degree theses; Pengcheng Li discussed the project element extraction module; Jiawei Liu focused on the knowledge library construction module; and Shengzhi Huang talked about the content innovation evaluation module. They respectively elaborated on the difficulties overcome, achievements made, and problems to be solved in the R&D process. The Degree Management Center of the Ministry of Education highly recognized the hardworking spirit and remarkable achievements of the Wuhan University project team in overcoming challenges, and provided systematic guidance on mining innovative highlights of the project, promoting social value transformation, and optimizing follow-up work paths.

Yanwei Qi, on behalf of the Degree Management Center of the Ministry of Education, expressed gratitude to Wuhan University for its strong support and highly appraised the innovative awareness, professional literacy, and fighting spirit demonstrated by the relevant team. He pointed out that the research on the intelligent agent for degree thesis evaluation deeply integrates cutting-edge technologies, closely follows policy guidance and educational needs, has made breakthrough achievements in core technology research, and the results are remarkable and inspiring. Yanwei Qi encouraged the team to make persistent efforts to further improve the review accuracy of the intelligent agent, accelerate the pilot application of the model, and inject new momentum into improving the quality monitoring level of degree theses.
